Stefano Taddei has been assigned to work on a student placement in our parish as part of his journey to consider a vocation to the priesthood. While his parents are Italian, he was born and raised in Killarney with his two sisters. He left school early and worked in the family restaurant from 2005 until 2009. Then he went back to do the leaving certificate in 2010. During the past five years he has been discerning a vocation to the priesthood and finally applied to the diocese of Kerry last year. He was sent to Spain to do a propaedeutic year (initial year of formation before major seminary) in St. Alban’s college in a city called Valladolid. This year he is on a pastoral experience placement in this parish until June of next year. After this he might continue with his studies in Maynooth seminary.
