Introduction to Baptism

Dear Parents,

We are happy to welcome your new baby into the Christian family. Today is an important day for you and your child.  It is a day of happiness and celebration for our parish and for the whole church.

The symbols used in this sacrament reveal our faith which has been handed on through countless generations since the time of Christ.



Baptism is only a beginning. For the seed of faith sown in baptism to flourish, it needs your love and care.

The way you live, the way you love each other, your attitudes and beliefs, and the prayers you say, morning and evening, will all contribute to your child’s experience of what it means to be a Christian - to grow up in the love of God.
